Running In Lines

Archive for June 2009

It’s really hard to get out of bed in a gray sky morning. But gray skies whole day??? I have slept soundly for more than ten hours and I feel sluggish than ever. I dunno I always enjoy playing under the sun that waking up seeing another overcast just pretty much dampens my spirit. I have been planning a good run since the start of the week and I haven’t gotten any. Oh yes climate change. I guess, everybody now seems to get a good picture of how serious global warming is. Yes, this is just the start of it. Melting icebergs, weird weather changes, extreme temperature fluctuations, flooding (oh yeah since it’s been raining I’ve gladly taken on the role of a couch potato, basking in all of National Geographic and Discov Travel) hmm what else? power outages and for shallow people like me ruined schedules.

Perspective. Choose what you see.My parents never forgot to teach me good helpful stuff. But, if you can only see how bad it looks right now from where I’m writing this, (so bad that when we forgot to close the window, the figurines on the desk fell to the floor after the wind blew) maybe, we might start doing something MORE to help us achieve a sustainable environment. Time is running out but it’s never too late to join in.

As for my upcoming race, well it never hurts to take it slow and easy this sunday. After all, I’ll be there for fun.
